Putting in three coins, then, gives you the chance to win thirty dollars. Putting in five coins will bring the winnings up to fifty dollars. Even if you have lost a lot, you can win it all back with one more pull of the lever.
Multi-Line Slot Machines
When you spin a reel, you will see three or more different rows. In a traditional machine, the numbers and symbols in the middle row have to match in order for you to win anything. With a multi-line machine, however, you can add more coins to activate the lines that are above and below the middle. This increases your chances of winning on at least one of the lines. It also means that you could win on two or three lines at one time, drastically increasing the amount that you get back.
Progressive Slot Machines
These machines play just like the machines listed above, but part of the money that you put in is taken and put into a jackpot that gets progressively larger. You can win small amount each time, but you also have a chance at that growing jackpot.
